• Ideally the check out takes place on the final day of the tenancy. The tenant may or may not be present depending on the policy of the landlord or the wishes of the tenant.

• The check out is carried out to compare the current condition of the property and contents at the conclusion of the tenancy with that stated on the check in report. Any delapidations or changes to the property are noted for the purpose of deposit adjustment and amendment to the inventory for any subsequent tenancy.

• If present, the tenant will be able to provide details of updated telephone numbers, forwarding address and utility suppliers.

• All keys supplied at the check in are checked and handed to the Landlord.

• Meter readings are taken.
