ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES (EPCS) |

|
If you rent a property you must be able to provide an Energy Performance Certificate to any prospective tenant. The EPC and recommendation report, carried out by an accredited assessor, must be available to a potential tenant, free of charge, at the earliest opportunity. Note: there is no need to obtain a new EPC for an existing tenancy. The EPC remains valid for up to ten years. The certificate is produced using tecniques and assumptions about energy usage so that the energy efficiency of one building can easily be compared with another of the same type. This allows prospective tenants to weigh the energy efficiency and carbon footprint of one property against another when viewing. We are happy to add EPC certificates to our inventories, if required. Just let us know the two ratings and we will produce, and include, the standard EPC graph. |
